Pre-Father’s Day Tarot Writing And Art Workshop: Make Your Card Early

Tired of giving soap or socks to honor the father/s in your life? Make a personal card to honor your father/s and gift it! In this workshop, we use tarot cards to explore fatherhood’s energy.

Offered through SDWI here in San Diego, in person, on Saturday, 7th, 10 am to 12 noon ($30/$36 Non-Members); register here for my Pre-Father’s Day workshop.

We will celebrate our relationship to fathers and fatherhood through writing and a collage project, with room to explore challenging connections and what we’ve learned from them, including looking at connections forged with chosen family as well as blood family. The simple tarot journaling process we will use will help you discover and uncover your connection to fathering energy and how it can best nurture you. And if you wish, create personal tarot card art you can keep for yourself (your Inner Father) or a card for your actual father or person who fathered you.

Bring an open heart, paper and pencil, and some photos of the father you are honoring (photos of you or your father/s), and any images you feel express the gifts and lessons of that relationship. Please feel free to bring your own tarot decks/s though your instructor will provide a variety of tarot images. While I will provide a blank greeting card and envelope for you, scissors, colored pencils, and glue, I invite you to bring any additional art supplies you wish to use (including magazine or old greeting card images).

Remember you can point the arrow of this inquiry towards your own father, or towards yourself in the role you play with your children or those you parent.

All perspectives and experiences welcome; no prior writing or tarot experience necessary. Comes with a PDF for continuing your exploration on your own.

I made a brief process video(posted to my Heart’s Compass Tarot You-Tube channel) for my Mother’s Day Class last month which might be helpful to view as we will follow a parallel structure.

If you wish to give the gift of a shared experience, I am offering Honoring Mother Month of May and Honoring Father Month of June angel tarot readings over zoom (with the option to gift a reading to yourself and your parent, or just to your parent).
